"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen" (2 Peter 3:18).
At FBC Mossy Head we are committed to the truth that the Word of God is the sole authority and rule for life for those who belong to Jesus. In light of that, we are intentional to create a variety of opportunities for study and growth in the scriptures.
Sunday School
Sunday Mornings at 8:45am
We offer graded classes for children and youth from infants through high school. For adults, we have a variety of classes for women and men of all ages.
Our teachers are devoted to preparing lessons and encouraging discussion so that we all learn one from another. The smaller nature of Sunday school groups allows for the development of deeper friendships and partners in prayer as we seek to walk the Christian life together for the glory of the Lord.
Discipleship Training
Sunday evenings at 6 we break into a variety of study groups. Classes may include scripture expositions or published topical Bible studies. The choice is yours as to which group you elect to join, and you may switch it up from time to time as your needs for growth change. There are also several studies that occur through the week. Contact the church office for information on options and scheduling.
Prayer Ministry
Part of discipleship is learning to be contant in prayerful communion with the Father as Jesus was. Prayer is the vehicle through which we learn the heart of God and the means by which we invite Him to move on our behalf. We are committed to being a house of prayer.
We have prayer meeting on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 in the sanctuary to meet as a body to seek the Lord's favor and presence. We also endeavor to create opportunities for prayer through our One Cry emphasis, our prayer room during services and events, and more. Don't miss the blessing of learning the discipline of being a prayer warrior. Grow in your prayer life with us!
Men's and Women's Ministries
We recognize the need for fellowship that exists among women and men. Men need the friendship and accountability of other men, just as Scripture teaches that iron sharpens iron; and women need the same from other women.
Our men's and women's ministries are designed to foster fellowship opportunities among their respective groups to help all of us grow closer together and closer to the Lord. Additionally, we believe that greater fellowship will lead us to desire greater service, so many of our activities are designed to help us serve the Lord by reaching out into our community in the name of Jesus.
