"WELCOME HOME"

First Baptist Church of Mossy Head is a community of individuals who, by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, have united by covenant to grow together in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and to serve our community in the name of the Lord so that all may come to know Him and the power of His resurrection in transforming lives.

We are not perfect people, but we adore and serve a perfect Savior.  We desire to welcome any and all who are broken, like us, but who have either found hope in Christ or else are seeking hope.  You will find a home here, a family bound together by the blood of Jesus Christ and held together by the all-surpassing love of God.  We worship together, pray together, grow in our understanding of the Word of God together, and reach out to the world in the name of Jesus together.  We strive to live and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, knowing that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation unto all them which believe.

We are an autonomous congregation who affirms that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is thus inerrant and infallible, the only trustworthy and authoritative rule for life and faith.  We are in agreement with the tenets espoused in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and so we find joy in cooperating with likeminded congregations of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Florida State Baptist Convention, and the Walton County Baptist Association.  Ultimately, we aim to follow the Lord however He leads us by His Holy Spirit.

We would love for you to visit with us.  We dress casually and comfortably.  Our worship is a blend of traditional and newer expressions of praise; but the truth we proclaim is eternal and timeless.  Come and see what the Lord is doing in and through FBC Mossy Head.  It may just be that as you enter you will hear the Lord say to you, "Welcome Home."
